Overview:
McMaster-Carr is seeking a Content Writer to join our team. You will make industrial concepts easy to understand for a diverse audience, from novices to experts. Your role will involve researching industrial topics and crafting helpful, accessible content that empowers customers to navigate the complex world of industrial supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft clear, approachable copy for both beginners and experts.
- Conduct research using primary sources to understand customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content that addresses customer pain points.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
- 3-6 years of writing experience in roles such as content strategy, technical writing, marketing, or journalism.
- Strong research, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Comfort in collaborating with individuals from various fields.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Humanities, or related field.
- Experience in professional research and writing is a plus.

- Salary Range: Total cash compensation from $144,000 – $166,500, which includes base salary and profit sharing.

- Full-time, in-person role in Elmhurst, IL. Relocation required before starting.
