The Opportunity
We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to join our Tagus | BASE team in Brazil. The Tagus team is responsible for building the core of Wellhub’s business model, supporting millions of active users, clients, and partners worldwide. We tackle significant technical challenges such as flexible commercial conditions, subscriptions, and scalable solutions while maintaining high availability and performance. As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be crucial in shaping our architecture, ensuring scalability, and creating solutions that impact our microservices ecosystem.

- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Build integration among services and tools.
- Enhance existing systems to scale and meet evolving product demands.

- Be a role model for Wellhub’s mission by prioritizing personal and team wellbeing.
Who You Are
- Experienced in architecting large-scale, multi-tier web applications with high availability and scalability.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python, with Golang experience being a plus.
- Skilled in designing and developing complex modern web applications.
- Experienced in cloud-based architectures, especially AWS and GCP.
- Capable of developing RESTful web services and collaborating with front-end teams.
- Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Strong communicator, comfortable working in distributed teams.
- Advanced English proficiency and clear articulation of ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience leading technical projects and coding is a must.
