Job Description/Overview
Meadow Rose is a well-established, close-knit care home providing a family-like environment for up to 56 residents. We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and contribute to the daily dining experience of our residents. This role revolves around delivering high-quality food service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Chef with meal preparation and serve both hot and cold food.
Cater to the dietary requirements of the residents, ensuring every meal is enjoyable.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment according to established cleaning schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of perishable and cleaning materials.
Ensure all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and service containers are properly cleaned and stored.
Support the kitchen team by carrying out reasonable instructions from the Head Chef or Home Manager.
Qualifications
Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is preferred.
A passion for food and providing excellent service.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Understanding of hygiene standards and willingness to uphold them consistently.
Experience
Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen support roles is advantageous but not essential. A genuine desire to work in a kitchen environment is key.
Skills
Ability to follow kitchen safety and cleanliness guidelines.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent service to residents.
