Job Description/Overview:
William Rainey Harper College is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the Athletics Department. This role involves managing various administrative tasks, supporting the athletics staff, and ensuring the smooth functioning of department operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the Athletics Department’s schedules and calendars.
Assist in coordinating athletic events, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff and teams.
Handle administrative duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and organizing departmental files.
Process purchase orders, invoices, and departmental budgets.
Provide customer service to students, faculty, and visitors related to athletics programs.
Support the department by preparing reports, memos, and other documents as needed.
Ensure the office is well-organized and supplies are stocked.
Qualifications:
Experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within an educational or athletics setting.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
A passion for or understanding of athletics programs is a plus.
