Job Description/Overview
HNTB Corporation is seeking a Sr Highspeed Rail Design Engineer to join its rapidly growing firm in Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will work on key infrastructure projects, utilizing their technical expertise to manage engineering tasks, provide mentorship to junior staff, and ensure timely delivery of projects. HNTB has a legacy in Southern California, known for its work on iconic structures such as the Sixth Street “Ribbon of Light” Bridge and the Los Angeles International Airport terminals.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize senior-level technical expertise for a broad range of engineering solutions.
Lead discipline-specific planning, budgeting, and adherence to project schedules.
Oversee project team’s work within technical disciplines and ensure accuracy.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and offer constructive feedback.
Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
Assist in proposal generation and marketing efforts.
Manage project scope and ensure alignment with budget constraints.
Ensure timely and quality delivery of projects while anticipating risks and impacts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience, or
PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience
Proven experience in delivering large-scale, multi-discipline infrastructure projects.
Expertise in technical problem-solving and decision-making in engineering design.
Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to innovate and apply technical knowledge to project efficiencies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.

Additional Information
Visa sponsorship is available for this position.
Salary range for the Los Angeles Metro Area: $120,825.80 – $188,983.93.
