Job Description/Overview
The Personal Care Assistant provides compassionate, non-medical, hands-on care to clients, assisting them with personal care, light homemaking tasks, medication reminders, and errands. The role allows clients to remain safely in their homes while receiving necessary care.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Preparing meals, grocery shopping, and safe food handling.
Light housekeeping such as cleaning living areas (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom).
Medication reminders and running errands.
Supporting clients in maintaining a safe and clean living environment.
Qualifications
Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
Ability to handle personal care tasks and housekeeping activities.
No specific qualifications required, but experience in a similar role is preferred.
Experience
Previous experience as a personal care assistant or in a caregiving role is preferred but not required.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organizational skills for managing daily tasks.
