Job Description/Overview
We have partnered with a leading construction and electrical company specialising in delivering infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on substations up to 132kV. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction and refurbishment of substations within East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the construction and refurbishment of substation projects up to 132kV, ensuring high-quality standards and timely project completion.
Coordinate on-site activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Address and resolve issues arising during the construction process, ensuring efficient solutions.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting achievements and risks.
Qualifications
Proven experience in managing construction projects within the electrical sector, particularly in substation work up to 132kV.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, electrical engineering, or related fields are desirable.
Experience
Experience managing electrical sector projects, particularly substations up to 132kV.
Skills
Project management expertise and proficiency in related software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
