Overview:
Red Carrot is looking for a talented Marketing Manager (Social & Advertising) to drive marketing and communications strategies for our federal government clients. In this critical role, you will manage daily marketing efforts, focusing on social content strategy, paid media, and alignment with the agency’s objectives. You’ll oversee a small team, ensuring smooth execution of marketing initiatives, while fostering collaboration and delivering integrated marketing plans that achieve measurable results. Experience in government contracting is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Manage and direct 1-2 team members, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Oversee daily execution of marketing strategies, ensuring they meet department goals.
- Translate the marketing vision into tactical plans and ensure successful delivery of projects.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Lead the development and execution of social content strategy across platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, Snap, and X (formerly Twitter).
- Manage paid media campaigns with a focus on data-driven optimization and measurable outcomes.
- Review and approve strategic marketing plans, creative briefs, and client presentations.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, especially in digital and social media marketing.
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs, analyzing campaign performance to refine strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build strong client relationships through regular communication, ensuring satisfaction with project progress.
- Ensure all work adheres to the client’s scope of work, maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Provide clients with monthly performance reports and data analysis.
Project and Budget Management:
- Manage project timelines to ensure timely completion of marketing initiatives within budget.
- Develop and manage budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet objectives.
- Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing, with a strong background in social content strategy and paid media campaigns.
- 3 years of experience managing teams.
- Experience in government contracting or government marketing communications preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and mentor a small team.
- Expertise in paid media platforms like Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and X.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Analytics.
- Ability to meet requirements for obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in government contracting operations and policies.
- PMP or other project management certifications.
