The Role:
AG1 is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Manager of Communications to join our growing Communications and PR team. Reporting to the Vice President of Public Relations & Communications, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing communication strategies that support AG1 globally, manage the company’s reputation, and drive our brand narrative.
In this role, you will work closely with the CEO and other C-suite executives on high-level strategic decision-making. You will also have a direct impact on customer and partner relationships, helping manage issues and maintain a proactive approach to reputation management.
Responsibilities:
- Executive Communications: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for executive communications in partnership with the VP of Public Relations & Communications, ensuring alignment with AG1’s brand story. Manage the external communications calendar for executives.
- Issue Management: Collaborate with company leadership and external stakeholders to strategically prepare for and respond to issues. Develop frameworks for addressing customer and partner questions proactively, and maintain an issue management playbook.
- Agency Management: Oversee day-to-day management of PR and reputation agencies, working to safeguard AG1’s brand and manage high-priority issues. Collaborate with agencies to handle key announcements and organizational changes.
- Business Partnership: Ensure core communications to customers and partners align with brand guidelines. Provide training to customer-facing teams on responding to inquiries and partner with internal teams like Partnerships, Social Media, and Product Education to support consistent messaging.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency roles.
- Experience in the consumable products industry, with health-related experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience writing for executives in varied tones of voice is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage PR agencies and external partners.
- Strategic thinker, skilled in working diplomatically with C-suite executives and leadership teams.
- Understanding of the social media landscape and experience with digital reputation management.
- Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure.
- Strong executive presence, with the ability to provide thought partnership and constructive feedback to senior leadership.
