XM is seeking a talented Cloud Security Engineer with expertise in AWS to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our information security while designing and building secure cloud environments that proactively mitigate security threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and construct resilient cloud infrastructures that are protected against security threats.
- Develop and assess cloud security solutions to secure systems, databases, and networks.
- Conduct assessments and make recommendations to ensure appropriate security controls are implemented.
- Monitor and analyze logs to gain insights into security incidents and threats; perform vulnerability assessments.
- Contribute to the formulation of the company’s security policies, procedures, and standards for cloud environments.
- Create technical and managerial level security reports for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Implement and test network and security disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor sensitive data usage and regulate access to safeguard information.
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data during transmission, storage, and processing.
- Review violations of security procedures and discuss corrective actions with violators to prevent recurrence.
- Provide support to end users regarding network and security-related issues.
Main Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Information Security or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Information Security, with a proven focus on Cloud Security.
- Deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS); expertise in Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as IAM, Organizations, SSO, VPC, Transit Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector, GuardDuty, WAF, etc.
- Strong understanding of current threats to cloud infrastructure and advanced knowledge of securing such environments.
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, for building and deploying applications to the cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) is an advantage.
- Expertise in container security is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while integrating well within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Capacity to quickly learn new technologies in depth.
