Job Description/Overview:
Symons Clark Logistics, a family-owned transport and logistics company with 140 years of experience, is looking for a PM Shift Forklift Operator to move empty containers within their Port Adelaide yard. This role will focus on container transport, yard organisation, and equipment inspections while working closely with the Container Park Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts to move empty containers within the yard.
Load and unload shipping containers.
Maintain an organised yard layout by placing containers in designated areas.
Conduct routine inspections on forklifts and equipment.
Report maintenance issues to the Container Park Operations Manager.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
High Risk Forklift Licence.
High Risk Reach Stacker Licence (desirable).
Experience working unsupervised.
Experience:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
Ability to complete tasks efficiently and work in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
Additional Information:
Applicants must pass a Fit to Work medical, drug and alcohol screening, and a police check.
Onsite training will be provided.
Opportunities to work additional hours or weekends.
