Human Resources Specialist

Position: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description/Overview:

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for administering staff consultation procedures, managing HR programs, and ensuring that the HR department’s activities align with the organisation’s goals. You will coordinate employee performance, develop recruitment strategies, and advise managers and employees on HR policies and benefits.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Administer grievance procedures and staff consultations

 

Assign projects related to employment, compensation, and labour relations

 

Plan, develop, and evaluate HR policies and programs

 

Advise on the interpretation of policies and collective agreements

 

Implement recruitment strategies

 

Administer benefit programs and employment equity

 

Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs

 

Manage staff training and development

 

Hire, train, and supervise staff

 

Qualifications:

 

College/CEGEP education

 

1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role

 

Experience:

Experience in human resources, recruitment, or employee relations is required.

 

Skills:

 

Strong judgement and organisational skills

 

Effective interpersonal skills
