Job Description/Overview:
Voyage Care is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our supported living service in Clacton-on-Sea. In this role, you will help individuals gain independence while assisting the Manager with the daily supervision and management of the service. Your responsibilities include allocating shifts, booking training, inducting new colleagues, and assisting the people we support in managing their finances. You will play a key role in providing day-to-day support to both the staff and individuals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily supervision and management of the service
Allocate shifts and organise training for colleagues
Support new colleague inductions
Order and manage medication
Help individuals gain independence and meet personal goals
Qualifications:
Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker role
Experience:
Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, and challenging behaviours
Skills:
Leadership and organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Flexibility with work hours, including weekdays and weekends
