Job Description/Overview:
Brownlow Health is a large Training Practice with multiple sites in Liverpool, seeking a Research Nurse to join a supportive and multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone organised with excellent interpersonal and IT skills, capable of managing research studies in primary care settings. Candidates with chronic disease experience are preferred, but established research nurses from secondary care are also welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and oversee a portfolio of research studies.
– Conduct physical assessments and collect blood/urine samples as per study protocols.
– Maintain effective communication with patients, carers, and professionals.
– Ensure high-quality delivery of research while recognizing patient privacy and dignity.
– Document patient events accurately in nursing/medical notes and Case Report Forms.
– Administer treatments/drugs as required within clinical research trials.
– Monitor and manage adverse reactions in study participants.
Qualifications:
– Strong understanding of treatment options, side effects, and disease processes.
– Relevant nursing qualification and experience in research or clinical settings.
Experience:
Experience within primary care is desirable but not essential; research nurses from secondary care are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
– Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
– Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
– Proficient IT skills for documentation and data management.

Additional Information:
Salary range is £35,392 to £50,056 per year, pro rata, depending on experience (Band 6/7).
