Job Description/Overview:
The Research Administrator will support clinical research studies by undertaking various administrative tasks. This role involves liaising with study leads, senior investigators, and research nursing staff while ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory legislation. You will be responsible for facilitating patient participation, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the research team throughout the study lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
– Administer procedures following GCP and regulatory guidelines.
– Act as a contact for pharmaceutical companies, study sponsors, and clinical research associates.
– Facilitate the informed consent process and explain research aspects to patients.
– Maintain accurate and contemporaneous study documentation.
– Organise and archive study-related files and ensure inspection readiness.
– Support clinical trial monitors during site visits.
– Communicate with the practice team to promote research studies.
Qualifications:
– Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical research standards.
– Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience:
Prior experience in a research or administrative role within a clinical setting is preferred.
Skills:
– Strong analytical and interpretative skills for clinical records.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain effective communication.
– Proficiency in data protection legislation and standard operating procedures.
