Job Description/Overview
Seeking a dedicated Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate and drive trucks as part of a two-person team, ensuring the safe transport of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities
– Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
– Load and unload goods.
– Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
– Oversee vehicle conditions and perform inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
– Conduct emergency roadside repairs as needed.
– Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
– Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
– Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
Qualifications
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– Experience: Will train; prior experience in truck driving is an asset.
Skills
– Must possess a valid Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
