Job Description/Overview:
The University of Leeds is seeking collaborative and self-motivated researchers for the Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow positions as part of the National Institute for Health Research Applied Research Collaboration, Yorkshire & Humber (NIHR ARC YH) Dementia Capacity Building Postdoctoral Training Programme. The successful candidates will work within the Academic Unit for Ageing & Stroke Research at the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences, focusing on improving care for people living with dementia.
Salary:
– £38,205 to £45,585 per year

Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct research into health inequalities affecting dementia prevention in Yorkshire and Humber.
– Investigate how health inequalities impact capacity for dementia prevention among various populations.
– Tailor interventions for dementia prevention to meet the needs of different groups.
– Collaborate with a regional network of dementia researchers and support the transition to independent researchers.
Qualifications:
– Postdoctoral research experience with expertise in qualitative research, intervention co-design, or epidemiology/biostatistics.
– Experience in dementia research is desirable, but applicants with related health and care research experience are encouraged to apply.
– Ability to develop and outline a vision for research supporting dementia prevention.
