Job Description/Overview:
The NHS is seeking a Research Assistant to assist in the setup and facilitation of a research project focused on psychosis. The role involves maintaining and managing an external database of quantitative data, engaging research participants, conducting psychometric tests, and ensuring adherence to research protocols.
Salary:
– £35,964.00 to £43,780.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup and facilitation of the research project.
Maintain and manage an external database of quantitative data; anonymize and input data.
Approach potential research participants using various communication formats.
Conduct psychometric tests and structured/semi-structured interviews.
Follow up with research participants at agreed intervals.
Address and report the psychological/emotional needs of research participants.
Ensure research procedures are conducted according to approved protocols and UK policy frameworks.
Review electronic patient clinical notes and extract/coding data for research.
Score relevant tests and enter data into the study database.
Ensure safe storage of paper data.
Assist in producing interim progress reports for the project funder and ethics committee.
Notify the local research governance committee of any ongoing changes to the project.
Assist in manuscript preparation for publication using study data.
Travel independently to engage participants (travel expenses will be reimbursed).
Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required.
