Job Description/Overview:
Global Radio Services is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Music Programmer to join their team. As a Music Programmer, you will be responsible for curating and programming music playlists that align with the station’s brand and audience preferences. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that the right music is played at the right time to engage listeners and increase audience satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
– Curate and manage music playlists for various radio stations under Global Radio Services.
– Analyze audience demographics and feedback to create engaging and appealing music schedules.
– Collaborate with presenters, producers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of music with show content.
– Stay updated with current music trends and apply insights to programming decisions.
– Assist in maintaining music libraries and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
– Use programming software to schedule music and make necessary adjustments to playlists.
Qualifications:
– A strong passion for music across various genres and formats.
– Knowledge of the radio industry and how music programming impacts audience engagement.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
– Understanding of music scheduling software such as GSelector or similar tools.
Experience:
– Previous experience in radio music programming or a related field is preferred.
– Experience using music scheduling and analysis tools is a plus.
