Job Description/Overview:
Compass Community School Mountfields Park is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality, therapeutic education to children aged 7 to 17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We seek a dedicated Maths Teacher to inspire and motivate students while fostering positive relationships and providing a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Teach Mathematics up to GCSE level, maintaining high aspirations for all students.
– Build professional and positive relationships with students to support their educational journey.
– Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to the varying needs of students.
– Collaborate with education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, and local authority teams to ensure outstanding outcomes for students.
– Participate in the development of the academic curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.
Qualifications:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Mathematics or relevant subjects.
– Experience working with children with SEMH and other SEND is desirable.
