Job Description/Overview:
MIRI PIRI ENTERPRISES LTD is seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver. This position involves long-haul driving with responsibilities for transporting goods, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring road safety. Applicants must be willing to travel extensively and handle physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Mountain driving expertise.
– Professionalism in customer service.
– Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
– Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
– Load and unload goods.
– Oversee vehicle conditions and perform inspections (tires, lights, brakes, etc.).
– Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
– Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
– Transport and handle dangerous goods.
– Record cargo information, hours of service, and distance travelled.
– Complete necessary documentation including bills of lading, maintenance reports, and trans-border documentation.
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– AZ class licence, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Defensive Driving Course.
– Valid Driver’s License (Class 1 or A) and First Aid Certificate.
– Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
Experience:
– 7 months to less than 1 year of truck driving experience.
Skills:
– Ability to operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
– Knowledge of truck maintenance and safety protocols.
– Efficient interpersonal and communication skills.
– Attention to detail and physical stamina.
