Job Description/Overview:
The Family Caregiver will provide personal care and assist clients in various tasks at the employer’s home. The role includes helping with daily personal hygiene, administering medications, providing companionship, and supporting the emotional well-being of children. Responsibilities also include cooking, light housekeeping, and supervising children.
Key Responsibilities:
– Administer bedside and personal care
– Administer medications
– Assist with bathing, feeding, and personal hygiene
– Support clients in water (pool) and assist with exercise
– Change non-sterile dressings and collect specimens
– Provide companionship and personal care
– Plan therapeutic diets and menus
– Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
– Travel with the family, supervise children, and handle household duties in the parents’ absence
– Assist children with schoolwork and activities
Qualifications:
– No degree, certificate, or diploma required
– 1 to less than 7 months of experience
Skills:
– Efficient interpersonal and communication skills
– Patience, punctuality, and dependability
– Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
– Attention to detail and time management
Work Environment:
– On-site work at the employer’s home
– Physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, and handling heavy loads
– Work involves bending, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive tasks
Transportation/Travel Information:
– Willing to travel regularly
