Job Description/Overview:
Exalted Construction Inc. is looking for a construction helper to assist in various tasks on-site, including assembling scaffolding, loading materials, assisting with pipeline construction, and more. The position contributes to green initiatives, working towards Canada’s net-zero targets.
Key Responsibilities:
– Load, unload, and transport construction materials
– Clean and lubricate cranes
– Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
– Instruct apprentices
– Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
– Assist in aligning pipes for pipeline construction
– Help with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
– Level earth to fine grade specifications
– Pave and rake asphalt
– Assist in demolishing buildings
– Clean and pile salvaged materials
– Remove rubble and other debris
– Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
– 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
Skills:
– Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg/50 lbs)
– Hand-eye coordination
– Attention to detail
– Team player
Work Environment:
– Outdoors, noisy, and dusty
– Physically demanding tasks
– Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
– Overtime required
