Job Description/Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, foundations, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones across various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lay out patterns or foundations using measuring tools.
– Cut or break bricks to fit around openings or in corners.
– Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto slabs or foundation.
– Align structures vertically and horizontally using levels.
– Inspect work to ensure conformity to specifications and building codes.
– Repair or replace broken bricks and faulty mortar.
Qualifications:
– Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels.
– Knowledge of masonry techniques including bricklaying and pointing.
Experience:
– Relevant experience in masonry work.
Skills:
– Experience with power tools for cutting and shaping materials.
– Ability to work collaboratively with other trades like carpenters and welders.
Nice-to-have Skills:
– Familiarity with roofing techniques in relation to masonry work.
