Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and collaborate with Data Engineers on advanced analytics and reporting solutions. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, particularly within the distribution vertical, to deliver sophisticated analytics models, dashboards, and AI-driven insights. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement from one of our international offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers: Work with Data Engineers to leverage the data Lakehouse architecture on Databricks, optimizing data for analytics and reporting.
  • Business Requirement Analysis: Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Analytics and Reporting: Design and build complex analytics models and visualizations. Create and maintain dashboards delivering key metrics and insights.
  • Finance Analytics Expertise: Apply finance analytics knowledge to develop solutions supporting financial decision-making within the distribution sector.
  • AI and Machine Learning Solutions: Develop and deploy AI models for predictive analytics and automation. Focus on AI solutions tailored to the distribution sector.
  • Data Management: Handle and analyze large, complex datasets from ERP systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Industry Expertise: Use your experience in the distribution vertical to create targeted analytics solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, AI, and analytics tools.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data science with a focus on analytics and reporting for ERP customers, ideally in the distribution vertical.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python, SQL, Apache Spark, Databricks, and familiarity with the Azure ecosystem (ADLS G2, ADF).
  • Analytics and Reporting Skills: Strong experience in designing and building dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Finance Analytics Knowledge: Deep understanding of finance analytics and experience creating models and reports for financial decision-making.
  • AI and Machine Learning: Proven experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Complex Data Management: Experience with large datasets from ERP systems, strong data structure and quality management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Adaptability and Learning: Willingness to learn new technologies and stay abreast of industry trends.
