Job Description/Overview:
The University of Strathclyde is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Teaching & Research Associate/Assistant in Engineering Design. The position involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and contributing to research activities in Engineering Design. This role includes delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and project supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials in engineering design.
– Supervise student projects.
– Support research projects within the department.
– Develop classroom, online, and blended learning materials.
– Improve teaching delivery methods using new technologies.
– Act as an ambassador for the department in teaching and research activities.
Qualifications:
– Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience:
– Experience in independent teaching, student support, and project supervision in engineering design or related fields.
Position: Full-Time (Fixed Term until 31/07/2027)
Skills:
– Knowledge in engineering design methods and processes.
– Familiarity with design for behaviour change, health, manufacturing, and innovation.
– Excellent communication, teamwork, time management, and project management skills.
