Job Description/Overview:
The Retail Store Supervisor will oversee daily operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and resolving customer issues. The role involves assigning duties, hiring and training staff, managing sales, and preparing relevant reports on merchandising and personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail supervision and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise staff (apprentices, stagehands, design team, etc.).
– Assign sales workers to duties.
– Hire and train staff or arrange for their training.
– Order merchandise and authorise its return.
– Establish work schedules.
– Sell merchandise as needed.
– Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
– Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages.
– Organise and maintain inventory.
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers.
Qualifications:
– College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience:
– 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Position: Permanent, Full-Time (30 hours per week)
Skills:
– Strong supervisory skills.
– Experience with inventory management and customer service.
– Ability to resolve issues efficiently and manage sales workers.
