Job Description/Overview:
The Painter will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces, mixing paint, applying wallpaper, and other finishing tasks. The role involves advising consumers on colours and wall coverings, and performing physical tasks such as erecting scaffolding and applying various materials.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
– Repair cracks and holes.
– Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
– Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabrics.
– Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings.
– Erect scaffolding, swing stages, and attach rigging.
– Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to surfaces.
– Estimate costs and materials.
Experience and Specialization:
– Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
– Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a related field.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
