Job Description/Overview:
Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials, perform vehicle inspections and maintenance, and handle cargo safety and security.
Key Responsibilities:
– Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
– Drive special purpose trucks
– Load and unload goods
– Obtain necessary permits for international routes
– Operate and drive trucks
– Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, and brakes
– Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
– Record cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption
– Ensure cargo safety and security
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
– Will train
Skills:
– Excellent oral communication
– Flexibility
– Judgement
– Organized
– Reliability
