Job Description:
Home Instead, the leading provider of home care services in Dublin 2, 4, 6 & 8 (Ballsbridge), is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join its team of CAREGivers. Home Instead offers non-medical home care for older adults, aiming to enhance the quality of life for seniors and their families. Positions are available for full-time, part-time, experienced, and non-experienced carers, including opportunities for student nurses and retirees.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Provide non-medical care and support to seniors in the local community.
- – Assist with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.
- – Help clients maintain independence and happiness at home.
- – Work with clients at different stages of their care journey, including those with chronic conditions, long-term illnesses, Alzheimer’s, or other dementias.
- – Participate in flexible care visits ranging from an hour to full eight-hour shifts.
- – Receive ongoing training and support from a nurse-led team.
Qualifications:
- – QQI Level 5 training (or willingness to complete QQI training with Home Instead support).
- – A kind, caring, and compassionate heart.
- – Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- – Willingness to work flexible hours based on client needs.
Experience:
- – Full-time carers: Experience in home care with QQI training.
- – Part-time carers (experienced): Prior experience in home care or as a family carer.
- – Part-time carers (non-experienced): Caring nature with a desire to help older people.
- – Student nurses: QQI-level training and seeking practical experience.
- – Retired nurses: A few hours a week to contribute to the community.
