Job Description/Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to work on various commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing drywall and plaster, including reading blueprints and working at heights.
Key Responsibilities:
– Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
– Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
– Clean and prepare surfaces.
– Cut and install metal corner beads and drywall sheets.
– Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
– Tape over joints and install corner beads and wire mesh.
– Install metal stud framing and vapour barriers.
– Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
Qualifications:
– Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience:
– 7 months to less than 1 year in drywall installation.
Skills:
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
– Experience with drywall installation and plastering.
– Knowledge of safety procedures and tool handling.
