Job Description/Overview:
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking expressions of interest for a Carpenter position at Waikeria Prison, part of their diverse trades team. This role involves a balanced mix of reactive maintenance tasks and minor projects, with a focus on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform reactive maintenance and minor project tasks.
– Work closely with team members from Plumbing, Electrical, and Carpentry/Handyman services.
– Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing progress updates.
– Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained.
– Engage in training sessions to improve trade and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
– Trade qualified Carpenter.
– Current NZ practising licences/registration.
– Commercial maintenance experience (highly desirable).
– Commitment to Health and Safety protocols.
– Proficiency in written and spoken English.
– Ability or willingness to learn how to use a tablet/iPad for job dispatch.
Experience:
– Commercial maintenance experience is highly desirable.
Skills:
– Strong communication skills.
– Detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
– Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.
