Job Description/Overview
Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology is hiring a Warehouse Technician to execute operational functions at a transactional level, lead small task teams, and ensure effective and efficient execution of distribution operations. The role involves maintaining quality and productivity standards, contributing to a clean and safe working environment, and achieving key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
– Receive and verify correct parts and quantities on time.
– Assist with stock counts, including wall-to-wall and cycle counts.
– Handle receiving of inbound purchase or transfer orders.
– Perform put-away/binning of stock and picking of orders.
– Pack orders and prepare shipping/export documentation accurately.
– Update and maintain warehouse location data in Sandvik systems.
– Complete detailed administrative data entry.
– Report discrepancies related to inventory, safety, and other issues.
– Address customer queries and make deliveries as needed.
– Participate in continuous improvement projects and support LPS.
– Ensure warehouse equipment is operational and safety procedures are followed.
– Handle warehouse administration and housekeeping.
Qualifications
– 2+ years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
– Forklift driving experience/certification.
– Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and other warehouse systems.
Experience
– At least 2 years in a relevant warehousing or distribution role.
Skills
– Experience with forklift operation and warehouse management systems.
– Strong organisational and communication skills.
– Ability to handle administrative tasks and address customer issues.
