Job Description/Overview
Are you a motivated Vehicle Technician capable of carrying out fleet maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles and equipment? This is a unique opportunity to join our team at a new workshop in Exeter, maintaining vehicles crucial to ensuring front-line crews are ready to serve patients. This role involves providing 7-day fleet and equipment maintenance services, keeping vehicles in top condition.
Key Responsibilities
– Service, maintain, and repair motor vehicles and equipment to high standards
– Perform all work effectively while adhering to the Trust’s scheduled times
– Record diagnosis, work completed, and components used
– Maintain clean, tidy, and safe work areas
– Work both independently and as part of a team
– Ensure high levels of satisfaction and work standards are met
– Uphold the Trust’s values of “One Team, Compassionate, Innovative”
Qualifications
Essential
– HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience/training
– Recognised Motor Vehicle Indentured Apprenticeship or training scheme
– Motor Vehicle Craft Studies Parts 1, 2 & 3 or BTEC equivalent
– Current clean driving licence
Desirable
– C1E + D1E driving licence
Experience
Essential
– Significant experience in fault diagnosis within a vehicle/electronic/mechanical field
– Proficient in using diagnostic equipment
– Experience with technical/engineering repairs
Desirable
– Experience servicing and repairing medical equipment
– Supervisory or management experience
– Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2000 or ISO 13485:2012

Salary : £29,970 – £36,483 / Year
