Job Description/Overview
The Charles Clifford Dental Hospital is seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to work primarily in the Restorative Dentistry department. Candidates must hold an NVQ level 3 in Oral Healthcare, National Certificate in Dental Nursing, or equivalent. The role involves assisting clinical staff, including students, and ensuring the application of Health and Safety policies. Flexibility is required for occasional evening work.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist clinical dental staff, including undergraduates and postgraduates, during patient care.
– Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed and assist in implementing Departmental Policies.
– Prepare patients for general and specialised dental treatment.
– Provide chairside assistance and anticipate clinician requirements for efficient patient care.
– Maintain close liaison with clinicians and assist with patients who have special needs or complicated medical histories.
Qualifications
Essential
– Registered Dental Nurse
– National Certificate or NVQ level 3 in Oral Healthcare
Desirable
– Experience in a hospital setting

– Experience in Restorative Dentistry
