Job Description/Overview:
Pollock Scotrans Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Relief Driver for a full-time permanent position. The role involves covering both day and night shifts, primarily loading/unloading vehicles, delivering and collecting goods using a curtain-sided vehicle, and maintaining communication with the transport team. This position is essential for covering holidays and sickness.
Key Responsibilities:
– Load and unload vehicles, ensuring load security.
– Deliver and collect goods from customers.
– Use a handheld PDA for vehicle checks.
– Maintain regular communication with the transport team.
– Attend training sessions regularly.
Qualifications:
– Must hold a UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
– Hold a current Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Experience:
1 year of driving experience (preferred).
Skills:
– Excellent customer service.
– Good geographical knowledge.
– Confident, polite, and a team player.
– Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
