Job Description/Overview:
Astute Nannies is seeking a dedicated and experienced nanny to work with a client in Kuwait. This position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about child development and education, particularly for an 8-year-old girl. The role involves providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, while also managing the child’s daily routines and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
School Runs: Manage daily school drop-offs and pickups, ensuring punctuality and coordinating the child’s extracurricular activities.
Homework Support: Provide guidance with homework and school projects, fostering a positive learning environment.
Activity Organisation: Plan and organise educational and creative activities such as crafts, games, and reading sessions.
Social Development: Organise playdates and social activities to promote healthy peer interactions.
Light Child-Centred Errands: Handle tasks such as managing the child’s wardrobe, organising her room, and taking care of child-related shopping needs.
Travel Requirements: Accompany the family on trips, ensuring the child’s needs are met while travelling.
Qualifications:
– A degree or relevant qualifications in education or child development are highly desirable.
– Experience in teaching or tutoring would be an advantage.
Experience:
– Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with children of a similar age, is essential.
– The candidate should be capable of managing an independent child while providing necessary support.
Skills:
– Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial but not mandatory.
– Strong organisational and communication skills.
– Ability to plan and implement educational and fun activities.
