Job Description/Overview:
Lead Solar Installer/ Electrician Position
Join our dynamic team as a Lead Installer, focusing on the installation of solar and battery storage systems. We are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of roof and ground-mounted solar arrays.
- Installation of grid-tied battery systems.
- Off-grid system installation.
- Maintenance of solar and battery systems.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand Electrical regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Test and verify all work is safe and operational.
- Organise efficient collection of materials for projects.
- Oversee all aspects of team-assigned projects.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective project completion at the highest quality.
- Serve as the primary contact for operations/project management.
- Advocate for customer satisfaction.
- Manage team and project safety in accordance with company policy.
- Provide technical input for design.
- Lead breakdown resolution and fault finding.
- Communicate effectively within the team, to team leaders, and the operations manager.
- Ensure all project updates are regularly documented using in-house software, including photos, timesheets, consumables, and certificates.
- Liaise with Operations / Project Manager to maintain up-to-date stock levels.
Qualifications needed
- NZ registration and current practicing license.
- 3+ years of qualified electrical experience.
- 2+ years of team management.
- Enthusiasm for renewable energies.
- Full clean driving license.
