Job Description
They are looking for Registered Social Worker or Non-Registered Social Worker (Aiga Coordinator) for fixed term contract until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of a permanent role offer before the end of the fixed term.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who has experience working with vulnerable children from birth to 17-years, supporting them and their families to improve their holistic wellbeing.
Qualifications
- An understanding of child protection rights, family violence, trauma-informed care and work experiences in working with family whanau/aiga in supporting them to connect with community organisation to assist their needs.
- Passionate about supporting children and their families to improve their health and wellbeing.
- A great listener with a proven ability to communicate with empathy.
- Culturally sensitive and responsive. Hence, able to work with people from a diverse range of cultures.
- Deliver social work services to a high standard.
- Understanding in practicing the principles of the Te Titity o Waitangi.
- Preferably speak a Pacific language, but not essential.
Additional Information
- The organisation will cater your annual practicing certificate (APC) including your monthly professional supervision.
