Job Description/Overview:
My Kind Of Vet is seeking a full-time Vet Nurse with at least three years of experience to join their team. This role offers visa sponsorship and opportunities for career growth within an innovative veterinary clinic that provides mobile consults and maintains a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care.
– Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision.
– Provide compassionate care and handling of animals.
– Perform routine diagnostic tests, such as blood work and urinalysis.
– Maintain accurate medical records and client information.
– Educate pet owners on preventative care, nutrition, and pet health.
– Assist with reception duties, including appointment scheduling and client communication.
– Maintain clinic cleanliness and organisation, including sterilising instruments and equipment.
– Restrain animals for examination and treatment.
– Prepare and hand instruments to veterinarians and maintain stock control.
Experience and Qualifications:
– Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or above.
– 3 years full-time experience as a clinical vet nurse.
– Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal care, and clinic operations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Compassionate and dedicated to animal care.
– Ability to work effectively in a team and willingness to learn new techniques.
