Job Description/Overview:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager ensures the effective teamwork of restaurant staff to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs. Responsibilities include managing staff grooming and attire, overseeing opening and closing duties, maintaining storage areas, and monitoring dining rooms for service quality and guest safety. The role involves assisting management in various HR functions, adhering to company policies, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee daily operations and ensure staff collaboration.
– Conduct inspections of staff appearance and rectify deficiencies.
– Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and cleaning.
– Manage inventory, storage organisation, and stock requisition.
– Monitor dining areas for availability, safety, and guest well-being.
– Handle maintenance requests and work orders.
– Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee evaluations.
– Ensure compliance with safety and security policies.
