Job Description/Overview:
Planning Center, founded in 2006, has grown to support over 80,000 churches worldwide. We pride ourselves on being debt-free with no outside investors. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work on building new features, improving performance, and ensuring the security of customer data for our web and mobile products. The position involves working with Ruby on Rails and React.
Key Responsibilities:
– Translate product manager’s feature pitches into technical specifications
– Implement features via well-tested GitHub pull requests
– Collaborate with designers and developers
– Review and deploy code to production
– Investigate and resolve bugs
– Improve performance using Datadog and AWS Performance Insights
– Participate in book and code clubs with other developers
Qualifications Needed:
– Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails and React
– Strong understanding of full stack development
– Experience with performance improvements and security best practices
Experience:
– Required: Experience in web development, particularly with Ruby on Rails and React
– Preferred: Experience with AWS and cloud architecture
Skills:
– Problem-solving and attention to detail
– Team collaboration and communication
