Job Description/Overview:
Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their world-class Customer Experience (CX) team. This role involves providing specialized business and technical consultation to help customers achieve their objectives using Grafana. The Senior Solutions Architect will be hands-on, understanding the customer’s ecosystem, ensuring success with Grafana at the center, and delivering world-class experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
– Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers, including business executives, project managers, and IT development staff, to understand business needs and translate them into business and technical requirements.
– Solution Design: Design solutions including data visualization, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise-scale architecture.
– Functional Leadership: Lead functional workshops with customers, document requirements, and design appropriate solutions while advocating adherence to standards and best practices.
– Technical Expertise: Stay current on Grafana Labs, observability, and related technologies. Work with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services teams to drive innovation and improvements.
– Customer Support: Manage ongoing support for customers to ensure continued value from Grafana’s products, monitoring support requests to identify recurring issues and recommending changes to products.
Qualifications needed:
– 5+ years of experience on deployment teams, using project management techniques.
– Direct experience with observability (o11y) stack (visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, traces) – preferably with Grafana products.
– Proven track record of successful delivery of customer projects, preferably enterprise observability implementations.
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, partners, and internal team members.
– Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Systems Architecture design.
– Proficiency in Kubernetes (kubectl, Helm, Tanka preferred).
– Software Engineering experience or ability to read code (GoLang/JS/TypeScript).
Preferred Skills;
– Vision to help the company advance to the next level.
– Experience with unix and Windows Server Administration.
– Executive presence to represent Grafana Labs at the highest levels.
