Job Description/Overview:
The IT/Logistics Manager will oversee daily route operations, support drivers using tracking systems, manage route planning, enforce safety protocols, handle paperwork, troubleshoot issues, and manage customer inquiries. The role involves maintaining up-to-date software and ensuring efficient truck logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
– Orchestrate daily route operations
– Monitor fleet location and support drivers
– Maintain communication with drivers and handle concerns
– Plan efficient routes and schedules
– Enforce safety protocols and handle paperwork
– Troubleshoot delivery issues and manage customer inquiries
Qualifications needed:
– Proven experience in IT
– Knowledge of logistics principles
– Proficiency in computer use
– Strong data analysis skills
– Ability to manage multiple trucks and negotiate load prices
Experience:
– 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (preferred)
– Experience in logistics and IT management
Skills:
– Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication and negotiation skills
