Job Description/Overview:
The Health Support Worker at The Mount will work with older people experiencing mental health problems and/or dementia. The role involves supporting service users during their inpatient stay, providing high-quality person-centered care, and participating in therapeutic activities. The successful candidate will be part of a clinical team, assisting with daily living activities, group work, and promoting effective communication with patients who have difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in delivering person-centered care, promoting privacy, dignity, and respect
– Support service users in activities of daily living and other treatments under the direction of registered nurses and care professionals
– Actively participate in group work and therapeutic activities
