Job Description/Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team for a temporary position as a Laundry Delivery and Collection Driver. This role is crucial in ensuring that laundry services are efficiently delivered and collected from various business premises, including offices, manufacturers, and hospitality venues.
You must be either a New Zealand Citizen, Resident or on an Open Work Visa to be considered for this role. Applicants only residing in New Zealand will be considered
This is a full-time, temporary position for the next 5 weeks with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No overtime is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely deliveries and collections of laundry to and from business premises.
- Operate a commercial vehicle (CL2) safely and efficiently.
- Handle lifting and carrying of laundry items, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Manage stock and ensure accurate recording of deliveries and collections.
- Work collaboratively with an experienced staff member, following directions and instructions provided.
Qualifications needed
- Valid CL2 Truck driver’s license.
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Full clean Class 2 Drivers licence required, capability of using manual transmission preferred
- At least 6 months Class 2 driving experience with delivering goods
- Be physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy items when doing deliveries
- A proactive approach and responsibility towards Health and Safety.
