Job Description/Overview:
Medusa is a commerce platform with a built-in framework for customization. As the most popular open-source commerce project, Medusa offers an innovative solution to the complex customization needs of commerce companies. We are now looking to build Medusa Cloud, a platform that will provide managed scalable infrastructure while preserving customization capabilities. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with our founding team to help structure and implement core parts of this new product domain.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain platform applications with business logic related to accounts, projects, and environments.
– Create a workflow engine to orchestrate actions across multiple, possibly distributed, services.
– Develop a bundler for highly optimized serverless environment bundles.
– Build a search engine to read, filter, and sort data in distributed data stores.
– Design and implement a product module that includes all business logic related to product information.
Qualifications needed:
– Extensive backend engineering experience.
– Strong problem-solving skills, especially in highly complex environments.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and uncertain environment.
– Passion for delivering exceptional developer experiences.
Experience:
– Previous experience in backend engineering.
– Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
