Job Description/Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee the execution of projects related to Oceaneering Mobile Robotics systems, ensuring projects meet schedule and budget requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and ethical standards. The role involves managing a diverse team, leading project planning and execution, and maintaining client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage projects in line with Oceaneering’s values, focusing on safety, quality, and business ethics
– Oversee project integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risks, procurement, and stakeholder management
– Lead a team of engineers, drafters, designers, and other personnel, setting clear expectations and delegating tasks
– Develop and implement project plans, including scope, budget, resource planning, and communication strategies
– Recommend action sequences, procurements, and coordinate meetings to ensure timely delivery
– Facilitate cross-team work, develop project schedules, lead progress meetings, and manage risks
– Support continuous improvement by reviewing and incorporating lessons learned
– Manage client contacts and relationships, lead project meetings, and handle scope agreements and negotiations
– Conduct project Kick Off meetings and closeouts
Qualifications needed:
– Master’s degree in a technical discipline (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing preferred)
– 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in logistics projects
– Knowledge of logistics, material handling, and industrial processes
– PMP/CAPM Certification or willingness to obtain within 3 years
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with customer representatives
– Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and support technical reviews
