Job Description/Overview:
The Plasterer will be responsible for applying coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, and partitions to achieve a smooth or textured finish. The role involves working in various environments, including outdoors and at heights.
Key Responsibilities:
– Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
– Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
– Clean and prepare surfaces
– Cure freshly plastered surfaces
– Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
– Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
– Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
Qualifications needed:
– No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience:
– 3 to 5 years of experience
Skills:
– Ability to handle heavy loads
– Physically demanding work
