Job Description/Overview:

Position Overview: As a caregiver with our esteemed non-medical home care agency, you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the lives of elderly clients by providing personalized and compassionate care in the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain their personal hygiene and comfort.
- Medication Management: Assist with administering prescribed medications, reminding clients to take their medications on time, and monitoring for any adverse reactions.
- Meal Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals that cater to the client’s dietary needs and preferences.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing, to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Mobility Support: Assist clients with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and using mobility aids to ensure their safety and independence.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in conversations, hobbies, and activities to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and errands, ensuring they reach their destinations safely.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental health, including vital signs, to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Care Plan Adherence: Follow the care plan developed by healthcare providers or family members, adjusting activities and support based on the client’s needs.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergencies, such as medical crises, by providing first aid and contacting emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications needed

- Minimum of High School or equivalent education
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Currently residing within a meaningful commute distance from Sonoma county area
